Come Home To You (Stripped) - Ian Munsick

I’m a sucker for acoustic songs that strip it down to just the lyrics and the emotions behind them. I’m also a huge new fan of Ian Munsick; we recently wrote a blog on his upbeat dance tune, “I See Country” which you can check out here.

Ian released a sentimental video singing his new stripped version of this song. In the video he’s on stage singing and strumming his guitar, while being accompanied by esteemed violinist Wynton Grant. Grant complements the song and video so well with his smooth simplicity. In the background there are beautiful home videos of Ian, his wife Caroline, and their son Crawford living their day-to-day life.

The song perfectly illustrates the life of a working man who gets up everyday and does everything he can for his family. At the end of the day, “it’s all worth it when that front door opens” because he gets to come home to the loves of his life- his wife and son.

With only the guitar and the violin playing you can hear Ian’s incredible range. The second the chorus hits and the music drops, you can't help but stop in your tracks and listen to every single word. Do yourself a favor and listen to the song below. Let us know what you think!
