First off, I love Luke Combs. This man took the country music world by storm a few years ago and didn't look back, and I’ve been a fan since the beginning. And I mean the very beginning, like when his YouTube hit Let The Moonshine only had several thousand views. Since I’m such a super fan I’m always anxiously awaiting new music from him. So when he put the below post on his Facebook I was ecstatic.
So last night at 8 o'clock, he released a video of him singing Five-Leaf Clover. And I have to say, this may be the best song I've heard in my entire life. It's a song about how simple people have the best life, if you find joy the little things.
The song’s full of various lines that I can really relate to, but the chorus hits the nail on the head for me! The chorus goes:
I know I’m a lucky man, but I ain’t sure why I am
Cuz it ain’t like anyone deserves the world in the palm of their hand
Now I hit my knees, thankful as can be
But the one thing I can’t get over
How’d a guy like me, who’d have been fine with three
Wind up with a five-leaf clover?
I can relate to every single line of this song. For whatever reason I’m blessed far more than I deserve. Give this song a listen and check out the full lyrics below. Which line is your favorite? Let me know!
Thanks for reading,

Well I go to work every Monday
Get to do something I love
And I make it home every evening
To an angel God sent from above
Got an 8 point on camera from last year
That this season looks like a 10
I got a barn with a fridge full of cold beer
On the weekend it’s full of good friends
I know I’m a lucky man, but I ain’t sure why I am
Cuz it ain’t like anyone deserves the world in the palm of their hand
Now I hit my knees, thankful as can be
But the one thing I can’t get over
How’d a guy like me, who’d have been fine with three
Wind up with a five-leaf clover?
I got a half ton that’s parked in the driveway
My dog wags his tail when he hears
I grew up in a good place to be from
My folks still got a bunch of good years
Now I know I’m a lucky man, but I ain’t sure why I am
Cuz it ain’t like anyone deserves the world in the palm of their hand
I’ve hit my knees, thankful as can be
But the one thing I can’t get over
Is how’d a guy like me, who’d have been fine with three
Wind up with a five-leaf clover?
I know I’m a lucky man, but I ain’t sure why I am
Cuz it ain’t like anyone deserves the world in the palm of their hand
I’ve hit my knees, thankful as can be
But the one thing I can’t get over
Is how’d a guy like me, who’d have been fine with three
Wind up with a five-leaf clover?
How’d a guy like me, who could’ve wound up with wings
Wind up with a five-leaf clover?
